Our Tea

Tea has been a big part of Ginger and Pickles right from the very beginning. In fact, since 2007 we have been a member of the United Kingdom Tea Guild and that takes some doing in itself. To be a member you have to know about tea, quality service and excellent food ... and we certainly do! Shown by being awarded the Tea Guild's Award of Excellence and Gold award status.

Tea lovers from far and wide have come to visit Nantwich and indeed Ginger & Pickles in a quest to find the best homemade cakes, the best cup of tea and the best service. Have they found it?... Why don't you come in and see for yourself.

In our Nantwich tearoom we offer loose leaf tea from the Northern Tea Merchants. Spoilt for choice one might say. All served in beautiful Burleigh China.

Our regular flavours

Lapsang Souchong ~ Unique large leaf tea distinguished by its smoky aroma and flavour. The tarry taste is acquired through drying over pine wood fires.

Earl Grey ~ A blend of black China teas treated with natural oils of the citrus Bergamot fruit which gives the tea it's perfumed aroma and flavour.

Assam ~ Robust, bright with a smooth, malt pungency and is perfect as the first cup of tea of the day.

Darjeeling ~ Light and delicate in flavour and aroma with undertones of muscatel, An ideal complement to afternoon tea.

Ceylon ~ Brisk, full flavoured and a bright colour.

English Breakfast ~ Traditionally a blend of Assam and Ceylon teas to create a pungent and flavoursome tea. A decaffeinated option is also available.

Green tea ~ As well as vitamins and minerals green tea contains polyphenols these are believed to be responsible for promoting good health.

Camomile ~ A pleasant aromatic tea with a fruity flavour that is enhanced by sugar and honey.

Peppermint ~ A uplifting, vibrant tea sure to make any day feel better.
